Welcome to the new look website for the
2013 Thiess River 2 Reef Ride!
The Thiess River 2 Reef Ride 2013 charity event is a mass participation ride, not a race, to raise funds for two local charities - RACQ CQ Rescue and Mackay Sporting Wheelies and to encourage more people to become active and involved in cycling. This year’s event is to be held in Mackay on Saturday 5th October, 2013. Last year this event attracted 1,100 cyclists. In 2013, it is estimated that numbers will exceed 1,500!
There are FOUR ride distances to choose from: 35km, 60km, 90km or 135km. We'll finish at the Blue Water Quay where breakfast food stalls will be operating - perfect for your friends and family to greet you when you cross the line.
The Thiess River 2 Reef Ride is a fantastic opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy the glorious scenery Mackay has to offer while raising money for worthwhile causes.
The cost to register for the event is $75 for adults aged 18+ and $60 for juniors aged 13-17 years (on day of the ride). NB: It is expected that juniors aged 13-15 will ride with an experienced adult.
If you register before April 30th you will receive an early bird discount of $5! Don’t miss out!
To receive a free event jersey with your registration you must register before 5pm September 1st 2013.
Final registrations close 1 week before the event – 5pm September 28th 2013.
