We are incredibly proud to be distributing the profits for the BMA River 2 Reef Ride amongst 13 vital Mackay Community Organisations in 2026.

Our festival is built on community spirit, and this year, we are making it easier than ever to give back to the local groups and volunteers who do so much for our region.

We encourage everyone to get behind these vital organisations. Register now and select one of these organisations so that we can donate $5 from your entry fee straight to their bank account!

How Your Registration Makes a Difference

  • Link Your Registration: For every registration linked to one of our 13 community groups, $5 will go directly back to that organisation^.

  • Wear the Jersey: Purchase this year's official BMA River 2 Reef Ride youth-designed jersey when registering. Not only will you be proudly showcasing our incredible local artistic talent to the world, but an additional $5 will go straight back to your linked organisation^.

Meet Our 2026 Community Partners

We are incredibly proud to support the following 13 Community Organisations to meet their 2026 fundraising goals:

  • BMA CQ Rescue is a community-funded rescue helicopter service providing world-class emergency aeromedical support across Central and North Queensland. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the service connects people in remote and regional areas to critical medical care when time and distance matter most.

  • Providing inclusive sport and recreation activities in the Mackay region to support sporting athletes with a disability.

  • Caring for unwanted dogs, providing mobile microchip scanning, and offering affordable custom pet ID tags.

  • Habana & Districts Progress Association has been promoting, encouraging, and fostering the improvement and betterment of the Habana district.

  • Harrup Park Country Club’s mission is to support and celebrate the community through its facilities and events, while also providing a welcoming environment for all members and visitors.

    The Club's vision is to inspire greatness through participation, education, and skills development, particularly in sports and education.

  • Igniting curiosity and fostering positive personal growth, leadership skills, and teamwork through inclusive youth scouting programs.

  • Offering coaching and racing to around 300 registered riders from the age of two.

  • A small club of approximately 30 enthusiastic dragon boaters who love travelling, competing, and being on the water.

  • Saving and rehoming abandoned, neglected, and at-risk pets across the Mackay region and surrounding communities.

  • Mackay Table Tennis Association has been providing the Mackay community with a place to play competitive and social table tennis since 1937, complete with junior programs and a dedicated fully air conditioned facility.

  • Managing the extensive trail network at Rowallan Park and promoting mountain biking for all ages and skill levels.

  • Patrolling Eimeo Beach and educating the community from children to adults to be competent and safe in a beach environment.

  • A friendly community club with dedicated volunteers raising funds to send coaches to important events to support their swimmers.

Only participating Clubs/Community Groups listed on RaceResult are eligible to receive the cash guarantee with each registration.

  • For the first time all of our registered Golding Kids Colour Riders can grab a FREE sausage when they finish their ride courtesy of Macky City Central Scout Group.

  • Out on course ensuring the riders are safe and stay on track are volunteers from the following Mackay Community Groups:

    • Pioneer Swimming Club

  • Volunteers from Lucys Lucky Tags & Dog Rescue will be bringing the fun vibes for the kids before and after their ride with some fun kids entertainment.

BMA RIVER 2 REEF RIDE:

  • Volunteers from MAD MTB Club will be at Corry Cycles Mackay handing our rider packs on:

    Thu 13 May: 3.30pm-5.30pm

    Fri 14 May: 3.30pm-5.30pm

  • Disabled Sport & Rec Mackay volunters will be ensuring all. ofthe course signage is ready and in the right position on the roads before and after BMA River 2 Reef Ride. Their first aid qualified volunteers will be providing medical support on Sunday 16 August.

  • Volunteers from Harrup Park Country Club and Habana & Districts Progress Association will be installing all of the directional and safety course signage for our riders.

  • Enjoy the buzz and refreshments at our Dumbleton Weir Rest Stop thanks to the volunteers at Mackay & District BMA Club.

  • Enjoy the buzz and refreshments at our Habana Rest Stop thanks to the volunteers at Eimeo Surf Life Saving Club.

  • Volunteers from Pioneer Swimming Club will be on the finish line cheering in all of our BMA River 2 Reef Riders.

  • Coming along behind all of the riders on Sunday 16 August will be members of the Mackay Dragon Boat Club ensuring no rider is left behind.
