Earning money for your Club or Community Group has never been easier.
At the 2026 BMA River 2 Reef Ride Festival, we are looking for energetic teams to help us deliver an unforgettable event. Whether your club is great at grilling, experts at traffic management, or ready to bring the noise at the finish line - we have a role for you.
Here is the best part: Depending on the role, the complexity, and your team's skill base, your club could earn anywhere from $200 to over $6,000!
HOW TO APPLY
1. CHECK YOUR ELIGIBILITY Before you start, please head over to our Terms & Conditions page on our website to ensure your group fits the criteria (e.g., must be based in the Mackay Regional Council postcode area).
2. CHOOSE YOUR CHALLENGE Review the list of Volunteer Roles. Every role has a unique Volunteer Code (e.g., VOL05) and a funding value based on the skills required. Simply nominate for up to 3 of the listed Volunteer Roles that best suit your team's size and capabilities.
3. SUBMIT YOUR NOMINATION Complete the online Nomination Form and reference the Volunteer Codes.
AVAILABLE ROLE TYPES
Funding varies based on the skill level and responsibility of the role. Please refer to the specific list below for unique codes.
🌭 EVENT HOSPITALITY Feed the hungry masses! We need groups to run a sausage sizzle and aid stations.
🛑 COURSE MARSHALLING Keep riders big and small safe and on track. Marshals are stationed at key corners and intersections to direct riders. (Requires adult supervision and high responsibility).
📣 FINISH LINE CHEER SQUAD Bring the noise! We need high-energy groups to welcome riders home.
🧹 COURSE SWEEPER Support the tail end of the field. Ensure no rider is left behind and help pack down the course.

BONUS CASH FOR SUCCESSFUL CLUBS
If your organisation is accepted for a volunteer role, there is a bonus opportunity to earn even more cash as follows:
Receive $5 from every Rider registration linked to your club^; and
Receive an additional $5 for every jersey purchase where a Rider has linked their registration to your club^.

Riders must select your Club/Community group at the time of registering for the 2026 BMA River 2 Reef Ride Festival on RaceResult for your Club/Community Group to receive $5 for every registration and the additional $5 for each jersey purchase.
